Creativity apps for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Working on Phoetic has been an interesting experience. What started as a simple Friday afternoon project has evolved in the most versatile word cloud app in the App Store, with a solid fan-base from all over the world.
Keeping up these developments besides my job as a software architect became harder and harder; in 2015 I made the bold move to quit my job and started working on Design Luscinia projects full-time. I am certain that almost
all software I have developed in the last 10 years contributed (small) bits to higher productivity, more energy-savings, better entertainment and even better healthcare. This sense of meaning is a huge motivation for me.
At first, I grossly underestimated the impact an app like Phoetic could make on people’s lives. Its users have created works of art for joyful events such as weddings and birthdays, but also captured fond memories of
loved ones who have passed. It has been used as a learning tool in primary schools. Companies are selling personalised prints and furniture. Wall-filling designs have been used in home interiors, restaurants and at special
events. A big thanks to all supporters of Phoetic! I am very excited to take this step and anxious to see what you will do with Phoetic and coming applications in the next years.
Best regards,
